Oh gawd, that Stevie Nicks version of Silent Night is baaaaaaaaaad. It's almost as bad as the song about the shoes or Merry Christmas, Darling. We've already had to give up the radio because no matter how much I love the Boss singing Santa Claus is Coming to Town, five times a day is TOO much.

I started thinking about Christmas as soon as Halloween was over! LOVE it. Sufjan Stevens has an AMAZING Christmas album that I sometimes listen to in July. It's that good. We will get our tree the week after Thanksgiving as well. i love thanksgiving, honest. I like to think of it as Thanksmas. Just one big 2 month long holiday. Yes.

As an early December birthday girl, I've tried to maintain a strict no-Christmas-before-my-birthday rule. But now that my son is old enough to understand that other people are already decorating (and the dude loves some holiday decorating) I think I'm going to have start relaxing my start date. I also like leaving everything up until epiphany in January -- am definitely not a tree-at-the-curb-on-boxing-day kind of lady.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas but I can't yet bring myself to do anything Christmas-related until Thanksgiving (except buy a couple of gifts). And what's up with all the holiday themed Christmas episodes this week? Grey's Anatomy went from Thanksgiving to New Year's in one short hour and sorry I just couldn't get all warm and fuzzy about it just yet!

I completely agree!!!

My country station AND the cheese ball love station on XM I love is now Xmas music all day long!!! So annoying. I feel like Xmas is being shoved down our throats the moment Halloween is over. Weird.

I'm slowly getting into the spirit now that the Thanksgiving leftovers are all gone. We have a wreath on the door. That's a start, right?

Belated, but none the less heartfelt, Merry Christmas to you and yours!! And hope the New Year is much better than it appears it is going to be!
